Our Margie!
Or Elizabeth Margaret as she was named, but we prefer to call her our Margie. She
was taken from us quite suddenly in November 2003.
She was the eldest daughter of 8 girls, mother of one son,(LIVING) and grandmother of two beautiful grand daughters, whom she loved so dearly.
Margie was a character, she knew everyone and everything! Small and petite, she was terrified of mice but if she sensed harm on any of her family, she'd roar like a Lion, and had the strength of Samson. We loved her soooo much!
If you had an ailment, Margie was the one to see, she knew what it was, and how to deal with it. She made us laugh, she make us cry, but with seven siblings, she felt responsible as eldest to keep us younger ones in hand. She did a wonderful job, and was the greatest eldest Sister anyone could have ever asked for. As time passed by, and us younger ones married and moved away and got caught up in our own families, at times Margie felt lonely. She was used to the Big Family, and all of us girls screaming and carrying on. But thankfully for the telephone, she was only at the other end of the line, and sometimes she'd call just to see if you are coping alright.
If anyone in the family ever needed help, Margie was there, when her family needed her, she was there! Now she has gone and we still need her to strengthen us, give us a good shake, scold us.
We loved our Margie, and still do. xxx
Merry Christmas Margie
I hope you all have a good one up there.
Thinking of you all, and missing you badly Luv you xxxx
Loving Memory
Hi Margie,
I've done nothing but think of thee this past week. I still cannot believe that you left us. Missing you so bad.
The weather is turning colder now. Went to church on Sunday, and it was rememberence Sunday, during our one minute silence, I sat and thought of you.
You left us on Remberance Sunday Margie, it a day I will never forget.
I love you so, take care, love your little Sister Jennifer xxxx
Halloween
Your hands are full tonight Margie looking after wee Pippin.
Missing you Big Time Margie, I know its wrong for me to wish you here, but I do. I cannot take it that your gone from us, you left so quickly, no warning.
I treasure our last words. Thank you for sharing that with me.
I love you so Margie xxx
Margie
Missing you soo much, Loved you dearly!
Guess you are all getting ready to celebrate Daddies birthday! Have Fun up there, we'll be thinking of you all down here.
God Bless you Margie xxx
Happy Birthday Margie
Been thinking of you a lot Margie lately!
You didn't think that I would forget your Birthday?
I passed your house today, sometimes it feels like you are still there, then that old familar cold feeling returns and I realize that you have gone too along with the others.
I;m here, without you all, and at times this doesen't seem real.
Wish I could grab my Big Sister right now and give her a huge Birthday Hug. But we were afraid of hugging you too tightly Margie in case we'd hurt you.
But you, "as tough as old boots" as you would say.
But were you really Margie?
How we loved you! And a lot of the crazy things you did. You could make us laugh Margie whenever you really wanted to.
The children loved you, and you loved them!
Took quite a lot of them in surprise, when you'd turn round in a shop que and say to some child, "Will you shut your yappy mouth, your giving me a headache!"
It worked too, and the parents would just give you a greatful nod and smile.
Ah God Bless you Margie, I hope you have a tremendous day up there Margie.
And Jean too, give her my love, and tell her I wish her a special day too for her Birthdday tomorrow.
I love you both dearly.
Love your little Sister Jennifer xxx
Margie
Its been a while now since I visited you, I know, but things have been happening.
Missing you Margie, at least you made us laugh, we could always rely on you to do that.
I wish I could call on each of you now; but I can't, that has been taken from me.
In a way I know its wrong to wish you all back here with us, because I know that you are in a better life and would not want to be back here.
Its getting harder down here Margie, but I always remembered the things that you taught me. Thank you for that Margie. As you always taught "you can't go wrong" xxx
Margie
I told you No, but you came and took him anyway.
Who would have thought that you would have been the one to come for my little Pippin.
I am so sorry what happened to you Margie with that big dog way back in the 60's, But not all dogs are like that. Pippin had some good fun with you and our Jacqueline on that day you both came down to visit me.
I still laugh when I think about how Pippin stood and cheeked you back, then went running behind me, lol.
I wish we could have them days all back again.
Then I'm told that I am wishing my life away.
I was not ready, I was not prepared to part with you Margie. Your death came as such a shock to us all.
But I am so Thankful that you phoned me the day before, it feels like Heavenly Father gave us the opportunity to say Good-bye to each other. I told you that you were speaking funny that day, but you said you were alright.
I loved you dearly Margie, and I think you know that now just how much you did mean to me.
Every time I pass your house, I still look over, am I looking for you? Oh just to see you out rubbing down your window ledges again, if only.
Need to go here Margie, thank you for looking out for Pippin, and for watching over me.
Love you xxx
Margie
I knew you where here, coz Pippin saw you.
He barked and barked at your photo, grinning like a chester cat, tail wagging to and fro.
I knew you where here Margie, I just tried to shrug it off, but I knew you where here Margie.
Pippin was getting on like the day you chased him up the stairs to me and Jacqueline, I knew you where here Margie, Pippin told me so.
Love you xxxx
Hi Margie
Seen our Curt & Gladys Friday at the wedding, they both looked really well. It done my heart good to see them. Didn't see the girls though, but Gladys brought photo's of them and I couldn't believe how big they had grown. Wow! But you already know that.
When I seen the one of Anya, I remember you telling me that she was your star! And as I looked at her photo, I looked at Margie's star. Wow!
They are beautiful, those two little grand-daughters of yours, but you already knew that.
We all had a good day at the wedding, wished you were there with us, but knew you were in Spirit.
Curt has put on a bit of weight and I think he suits it. It was so good to see Margie, as I remember you telling me that our Curt wasn't well.
Curt sent me some photos of the wedding, so I'll try and put them on here for you, but this computer is playing me up today.
Well I need to go here love but I'll be back soon.
Love you Margie, xxx your little Sister Jennifer x
